About Me

▼

Hi, my name is Lydia Blackburn, and I am a Marketing major at Georgia Southern University with a strong interest in social media, brand development, and creating meaningful connections between organizations and their audiences. Through my experience as a Marketing Assistant at Champion Cheer Culture and as Vice President of Programming and Enrichment for Alpha Omicron Pi, I have developed a strong foundation in marketing, leadership, communication, event planning, and content creation.

Professionally, I aspire to build a career in marketing where I can combine creativity and strategy to help brands grow and connect with their audiences. My experience creating social media content, managing content calendars, producing photo and video content, and collaborating with different teams has shown me how powerful effective communication can be. I particularly enjoy finding creative ways to tell a brand’s story while making content feel authentic and engaging.

One of my strengths is my ability to balance creativity with organization. As a student and student leader, I have learned how to manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, delegate tasks, and work collaboratively toward shared goals. Serving as Vice President of Programming and Enrichment has also strengthened my leadership skills by giving me the opportunity to guide a team and develop programs that support the academic, personal, social, and professional growth of more than 300 members.

Beyond my resume, I would describe myself as someone who is curious, energetic, and genuinely enjoys working with people. I am drawn to marketing because it allows me to combine my creative side with my interest in understanding people and what motivates them. I also enjoy being involved in organizations and events where I can contribute ideas, build relationships, and help create experiences that people remember.

Let's Connect

I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, create, and grow professionally. If you’re interested in connecting, discussing an idea, or learning more about my work, I’d love to hear from you.
